3.            President’s Report:  None.

4.                  Old Business: None

5.                  New Business:

A. Planning Update

Tim reviewed how the Planning Commission has been operating since the first of the year.  This structure has been working well so far.  To date, 24 minor subdivisions have been processed as well as completing a few reports for the landfill and solid waste management district.  One item that needs to be completed is updating the zoning resolution for Damascus Township.  Tim gave them a copy of a zoning resolution to review last year.  He will check back with them to find out how they would like their zoning resolution to be completed.

B. HB 110

Among other things, HB 110 rescinds the Public Health Council’s rules related to sewage treatment systems that went into effect on January 1, 2007, and reinstates the rules that were in effect under former law prior to January 1, 2007.  Jon Lindsay indicated that a similar bill, SB 83, is going through the Senate.  These bills will be monitored to see how the bills progress.  To date, no one in Henry County has gone through the new procedures set up by the new sewage treatment system regulations.

6.            Closing Remarks

A.     Open Forum:

John Overmier asked if it was possible to get a map that showed the location of the new US 24 interchange at SR 109 as it relates to their zoning districts.  Tim will put this map together.

B.      Date for Next Meeting:

The next Planning Commission meeting will be on May 16, 2007.

7.            Adjournment:

Ed Nagel moved to adjourn.  Tom Zimmerman seconded.  Meeting adjourned at 8:25 a.m.

Respectfully Submitted,
