HENRY COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION

February 15, 2007

Commission members present:

Lenny Sonnenberg Henry County Engineer’s Office

1. Tim Schumm called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

2. Approval of Minutes: Lenny Sonnenberg moved to approve the January 18, 2007 minutes. Kevin Nye seconded. Motion carried.

3. President’s Report: None.

4. Old Business:

A. Terms Expiring 2/19/07 (Charles Griffith, John Harding, John Overmeier)

Charles Griffith and John Overmeier indicated that they would accept another term with the Planning Commission. John Harding had indicated that he would accept reappointment in no one else could be found. Tim Schumm spoke with Ed Nagel, Ridgeville Township Zoning Inspector regarding his interest in the appointment. Ed Nagel indicated that he would be will to serve on the Planning Commission. Lenny Sonnenberg moved to recommend to the Commissioners the appointment of Charles Griffith, John Overmeier and Ed Nagel to the Planning Commission for a three-year term. Kevin Nye seconded. Motion carried.

6. Closing Remarks

A. Open Forum:

Rich Myers attended a CCAO meeting that included a discussion on Conservation Subdivision Design. This design concept allows designers to decrease lot sizes by setting aside other areas for conservation.

B. Date for Next Meeting:

The next Planning Commission meeting will be on March 15, 2007.

John Overmeier moved to adjourn. Rich Myers seconded. Meeting adjourned at 8:15 a.m.
