HENRY COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION

October 18, 2007

Commission members present:

Eric Shank Henry County Soil & Water Conservation

1. Tim Schumm called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

2. Approval of Minutes: Eric Shank moved to approve the June 21, 2007 minutes. Lenny Sonnenberg seconded. Motion carried.

3. President’s Report: Charlie Griffith summarized the meetings that have occurred to discuss the hiring of a Planning Director. A committee consisting of Rich Myers, Commissioner, Tim Schumm, Engineer’s Office, Charlie Griffith, Planning Commission President and John Harding, Regional Water & Sewer District Board member have met to discuss the duties of the planner, qualifications, location of office and budget. A summary of the topics was distributed for discussion. After comments are received from the Planning Commission and Regional Water & Sewer District, the committee will meet once more to put together a recommendation for the Commissioners.
